INTERNATIONL BBQ in the Apt. CLUB HOUSE
Saturday, April 25th, 2009Some people tend to think that school activities are boring. These people have been going to the wrong school with wrong people, because at IWCC the activities are great most of the time. Judge by your self:
Hotdogs, steaks, good watther, games, a grill, aren’t enough to have a perfect BBQ. What can make a BBQ perfect is the people and the enviromen. And, when a some cool people ( like MY frineds, teachers and of course ME ) gather together and have food, fire, and some music; let me tell you what, PERFECT BBQ. Well everything was perfect till I found out that I don’t have a clue of how to start a fire. I thought that others would but WRONG nobody knew how. Finally someone after many times could. Then we ate, played hanged out nd had our happy ending!
International Fun Day ( fair) :)
Friday, April 24th, 2009Do you know the meaning of Pinata, molcajete, pico de gallo, bonga, origami, yukata and much more??????
NO???? oh!!!! then it is because U DIDN’T GO TO THE INTERNATIONAL FAIR.
Then you missed a lot, just give it a look!
Finally I discovered my true role in life. I need to be a Mariachi ( Mexican Loud Singer ). I found it out during the Internation Fair 09 in which I of course had participated. I desmostrated my culture, I gave candy and pico de callo to people ( mexican salad) perhabs I rode a donkey pinata. But it wasn’t just me desmostraiting my culture, there weretables from Japan, Australia, Mongolia, Italyand Tanzania.
So please next time Don’t miss the good stuff , show up and then you will appreciate anothers culture and by the way you can see some IWCC staff and techers doing crazy things like dancing the bely dance or ridding a donkey.

Thursday, April 16th, 2009IWCC in action with Refugees.
Wednesday, April 8th, 2009In this blog I will get more serious as I usually do, I have a reason I swear.
I do it with the respect and kindness that Sudanese deserve.
There is a country in Africa called SUDAN in which there is a place called Darfur that is facing a horrible war. Some of these people go another countries under the refugee status; they go to countries like Chad and they live in shelters, but still, food, wahter and supplies aren’t suffient. Then is why I get emotional and I think Why people don’t do anything? including my self. IWCC is started working on it. We started to play videos about the refugees situation, bring some organizations that are looking for help. There is an organizatoin called Hike to Help Refugees, and what they do is to hike around the country and get some money for the refugees, they are comming to Omaha and YOU can hike, all you need is to walk and then you will be helping out the refugeess. Also, they have Tango nights, where while you learn and join a tango class, the money for the class fee will go to the refugees.
Perhaphs, if you have an old cell phone that is not working, you can bring it to Clark 214, the cell phone will be recycled and that money will be sent to refugees camps. For any question contact Mary Lusajo
Have you seen? or do you have a friend? take a class? or a least talk to a Sudanese student at school? Well, some of them are people who have suffered the war that comes with pain and sadness. We see them and we don’t know thet some of them have had very sad experiences. But they are here in the U.S and they are going to school, improving their life, willing to grow up, just like I do and just like YOU DO READER
!
Come, join and help what you got with others!
Don’t be blind to others pain, go help and become a better human being.
