FALL IS ACTUALLY HERE NOW!!!!

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

Ha! The leaves have finally started falling!!!!! Now that Winter’s almost here, we can actually call it Fall!!!!! Hooray! (before it was just Autumn…)

It’s just this frost we’ve been having is making the leaves drop like flies and the flies drop like leaves (which is awesome, I might add. I got sick of the flies). Oh, and sincethe world wide web is, in fact, world-wide, and I may be speaking to a prospective student in Cancun, you may need to know what frost is. To put it bluntly, IT’S COLD! C-O-L-D! REALLY REALLY COLD!!!!!!!

I’m ecstatic though because if it’s frosting that means we’ll have a snowy winter (and if anyone doesn’t like that, move to southern California, don’t complain to me. You’re the one who chose the upper  midwest). And that also means we’ll probably have a very white Christmas! Yay!!!! I’m already PSYCHED for Christmas^^

Ok, so today I learned a valuable lesson yet again. I showed up to Iowa Western, stopped into my classroom (a few minutes late for good reason, but that’s a story for another day), and realized that it was locked. I was confused. I went to my instructor’s office and it, too, was locked. Then, guess what, some music friends of mine told me they’d checked SAIL and GUESS WHAT! My class was cancelled. Oh yes. I was thrilled. But then I remembered I needed to write a blog and it was all ok. Getting some more sleep would have been nice though :P

Yeah, I have just got to start checking SAIL in the morning before class so that I can avoid this sort of mishap. It really would be easy, I’m just kinda lazy. Plus, okay, and this is SO annoying!!! People keep advertising their stuff for sale over our SAIL-mail accounts! It’s so obnoxious, it’s like spam! And then we get all the people replying saying they don’t want it! Hey guys, don’t reply! We don’t need to get those too! Just ignore the solicitations!!

At any rate, that’s not what SAIL is to be used for and the school desperately needs to do something about it. Our in-boxes shouldn’t be crowded every day with solicitations from classmates to buy stuff off them! Use Ebay or Craig’s list, but not the school mailing site!

But yeah, so, I’ve run out of both complaints and gushings so… I dunno how to wrap this up…

THAT’S ALL FOLKS!!!

Ok, well, honestly, I’ve never been more certain that school is intended to weed out the weaker humans and kill them with ridiculous amounts of homework. I still wouldn’t mind this so much, though, if I wasn’t one of the ones being weeded out…

At any rate, I digress from my originally intended point that I hadn’t yet mentioned. I dunno, I might just be feeling out-of-sorts, but I just really have to force myself to do anything right now. I mean, I’m even wondering about my writing. It doesn’t seem like my class is all that… I dunno… enthusiastic about my stuff, which kinda worries me since, ya know, that’s gonna be my life’s work. And then I haven’t gotten a real blog comment in weeks, which is also disappointing. And ya know, it’s not like I’m gonna give up writing for all eternity because I didn’t get some enthusiasm, it’s more I just wish it were there.

But, one way or the other, classes are going pretty decent at least. In my music class we had a quiz and I got one stupid fraction of a question wrong :P I said that this one song’s name was symphony #10 instead of #40. I mean, what a terrible mistake to make cause it was so close… bummer lol

Math’s alright, Lit is cool, Biotech is pretty fun (remember, the answer is ultimately ENZYMES!), Creative Writing is so-so, and music appreciation is good except for the evil presentation we have due in November. Aside from that, work is sucking the life out of me (but I might get to go part-time in the floral department :D ), and I have a very important and strenuous college application due soon…

So I’m stressed, I’ll admit it. Because of that, I’m gonna load this up with calming pictures :)

Welcome to a gorgeous Monday morning, all!!! Eh, maybe not too gorgeous, but I love rain J Plus I have many excellent reasons why to be glad that last week is finally over. I mean, ever have just a really, really off time? Last week was mine. I couldn’t even get up the initiative to write for crying out loud. Well, I guess I did do one scene earlier in the week, but still… it wasn’t too good. I’m just having some issues right now in work, but I’ve just decided to let them roll off my back.

Seriously though, I was drained last week. Usually in my spare time I want to go to my computer to write, but all I wanted to do was sleep. I’m glad it’s over. New week, new life.

And, guess what!!!! Christm…. Wait, I’d better do this all in caps… hold on a sec… heh heh… alright, here we go… CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BREAK OUT THE LIGHTS AND HOLIDAY CHEER, ‘CAUSE IT’S GONNA BE AWESOME THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I’m excited already.

At any rate, that’s my randomness, but I really am quite excited for Christmas this year. I dunno why, I just am J It’ll be fun, and festive, and special stuff will be going on, and we’ll put up our tree, and go holiday shopping, and watch the snow fall, and hang out with family ^^ … ah…

And it’s not yet Halloween…

At any rate, I’ll be back to you on Friday. My absorption rate in classes this week was just enough to remember my assignments so I really have nothing to report (except that I fell asleep in the library for ten minutes Wednesday morning…).

Goodbye all and enjoy you awesomely rainy week :D!!!

Okay, okay, before you talk to your shrink about how you feel abandoned and they trace it back to me, I’ll apologize. Quite frankly, I didn’t mean to be unfaithful to you but I felt my needs could be better satisfied elsewhere. And guess what, I was right! Ha! Yeah baby, you heard me right! I couldn’t get my blog in ’til now because I was riding the rides, watching the spooks and eating the food of good old
Kansas City!I’ll tell ya though, no better place than Worlds of Fun, I’m telling ya. Six Flags is great, don’t get me wrong, but no roller coaster in the WORLD beats the Mamba for sheer enjoyment. And doing it at night and finally having the guts to keep your hands up the whole time, WELL, that might just be the best of all. And it was really fun because they had just opened up their attraction for October, Haunt, and it is sweet!!!Funniest thing that happened all night, though, was that this one actor dude (there were a TON of ‘em roaming around the park) came up behind my little sister. And she was tired cause it was about eight and we’d been there since eleven. So this dude comes up behind her, right up next to her and yells “DIE!” really, really loud, and she had no immediate reaction except that she looked over at him. So, without skipping a beat, he kinda tilted his head and said, very nicely, “please..?” with this awesome accent. And my sister is kinda out of it and is just like, “alright.” and nods. It was really weird, but I laughed, lol. Then me and my sister got followed around by another one and it was hilarious. At any rate, I’m so glad about half my finals are over :) I finished and turned in my Literature and Creative Writing work, and I’ve done one of the things for my math. I also got my music appreciation test and C&C paper turned in. Biotech I haven’t completely finished yet, but I have tomorrow morning yet, lol. Man, I’ll tell you though, when you have a full schedule, if you can get Monday mornings off, you will totally love it. It’s better than Fridays, trust me :PAt any rate, I dunno when all your midterms and stuff are, but just keep your head above the water and it’ll turn out alright. It’ll all be over in a week or two, I promise :) For now, good night and good luck to you all; I look forward to speaking to you again and I swear I’ll stick with you again (until something better comes up :P). Bye!!!Sarah
