Big Guy Fashion…

April 17th, 2009

Now…whether you have a lot of money or not, I don’t know too many people who can say they don’t like shopping for clothes. Anytime there’s money to spare, I like to buy a shirt, a pair of shoes, or something. However, being that I ate all of my green beans and drank all of my milk when I was younger, I am a bit bigger than the average guy. My trouble always comes into play when I go to try to find an outfit for a party or event.

Stores feel like they are being compatible to all sizes by adding a big and tall section for men, and plus size for ladies. But my thing with the men is, they gear in those sections are never like the ones in the “young” mens section. But wait, I’mma young man too…so thats a bit messed up. Young or old, if you’re big, you have to shop in the big and tall section?? SECURITY!!! LOL

For me being my size, I feel that I can go to a store and pick out a nice, fresh fit and stay under a certain amount. But some guys who are a little bigger than I am, don’t have that privilege. They are stuck with the stretchy polos, and elastic waist pants. If  really had a thing for fashion…I would start my own big man’s fashion line. Because everything is always for the little guys.

Last but not least, if you are indeed a bigger guy, please…PLEASE stop wearing clothes that are too small for you. Stores like Abercrombie and Fitch and Hollister are not meant for bigger guys. A&F shirts are not meant for the logo to spread all the way from one armpit to the next. Not trying to be funny, just giving my opinion.
